Ecstatic Dance is a freeform movement journey where participants gather in a safe, substance-free space to dance without choreography or judgment. With no talking on the dance floor, no shoes, and no substances, it’s an invitation to move however you feel—exploring self-expression, presence, and connection through music and embodied experience. Rooted in the principles of the 5 Rhythms, the journey often unfolds in waves—guiding dancers through cycles of energy, release, and integration.
Ecstatic Dance ATX brings a unique twist to this global practice by featuring live musicians alongside the DJ, blending sound and rhythm in real time to create a fully immersive, one-of-a-kind journey. Expect live horns, polyrhythmic percussionists, and evolving musical layers that respond to the energy of the room, making each dance a truly singular experience. Set in Stardust Garage, a stunning new venue in South Austin known for its high-end sound system, immersive lighting, and intentionally designed atmosphere for deep embodiment and connection, this is quickly becoming one of Austin’s most powerful conscious dance experiences.
